Roarr!!

Stop for a moment. "It's Tiger, so scary and intimidating!"

WAIT, WAIT, WAIT PEOPLE.

Does being scary means we need to harm them?

Let's talk about it!

Wildlife Matters

Animals have appeared on Earth for approximately 600 million years before humans. As years progresses and civilization evolves, human beings depend on wild animals for food, pollination, medicine, pest control, and genetic resources. In short, they contributed a more balanced and healthier ecosystem by providing nutrients to humans, and impact on many aspects of our lives.

A Key deer that died in the wake of Hurricane Irma in Big Pine, Florida, USA. This endangered subspecies of the North American white-tailed deer is only found in the Florida Keys. By the 1950’s, due to poaching and the loss of habitat, the Key deer was on the brink of extinction. Since then, conservation efforts have helped their numbers grow from a few dozen to almost one thousand. But like all endangered species, Key deer remain vulnerable to climate change and the severe weather that results. (https://headon.org.au/photo/climate-change-threatens-endangered-species/)
Climate Change Threatens Endangered Species

Threats to wildlife

On the other hand, humans have become more and more populated over the years,

which affects wildlife because of their irresponsible acts. This action causes climate change, deforestation, and pollution that affect not only their habitats but the lives of wild animals.

5 WAYS TO HELP WILDLIFE:

1. Protect their Habitat

By establishing native trees, restoring wetlands, or maintaining local beaches, you can lessen this threat.

Entire communities of animals and plants are also protected when habitat is safeguarded. Wildlife must have places to find food, shelter and raise their young.

2. Let wildlife feed themselves

Animals that have been fed may become reliant on this food source over time, losing the ability to survive on their own if the feeding stops. So, by letting them feed on their own, you can help them to learn how to hunt their own foods and to live without the help of humans.

3. Donate

By donating, you can help in maintaining and preserving the animal's habitat. Also visit your local accredited zoos and nature reserves, pay the recommended entry fee. This donation can also help the conservations of wildlife animals in terms of their supplies.

4. Volunteer

If you don’t have money to give, donate your time. Many organizations and zoos have volunteer programs. You can help by helping to preserve their habitat like cleaning beaches, forest and land. In addition, by volunteering yourself to rescue wild animals or teach visitors.

5. Reduce your waste!

Trash isn’t just ugly, it’s harmful. Trash can become a trap for animals. Plus, trash pollutes everyone’s natural resources. Do your part by putting trash in its place. Do Reuse, Recycle and Repair, by that you will lessen the waste that may cause pollution, at the same time you help the wildlife.
